ASIAN PORK BALLS

So I make these pork balls quite a bit and whenever I post a photo on Instagram I get asked for the recipe – so here it is (finally). They are great just to eat on their own, you can make a Vietnamese bun bowl, or simply serve them at room temperature on a slice of cucumber – everyone loves them. I tend to be heavy-handed with the fresh herbs. Cook them in the oven – easy!
INGREDIENTS
1kg pork mince (don’t use lean mince – no one wants dry balls)
3 Tbsp fish sauce
3 tsp sugar
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 tsp white pepper
3 tsp dark soya sauce
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 red onion finely chopped
Chopped fresh coriander and mint (to taste)
METHOD
Preheat oven to 190 degrees celcius.
Mix all ingredients together thoroughly and make into balls. I like them quite large so I generally make each ball about a quarter of a cup in volume. As you make them, place on a baking tray lined with Gladbake.
Place in oven and bake for 17-20 minutes until they’re nice and golden.
Yum, gonna try them š
